Never touched one. I just searched xdm and copied the location for a link. Was it trashing the xdm? If so I didn't do that intentionally.

You know I am a gun freak right? O.k then  :chuckle: I have a xdm 40 it is my full time carry gun. I have never had any malfunctions with mine. I have put many rounds down range and I love the gun. It is the only semi I will ever carry out of all the autos I have shot and owned

They have a new competion series that has fiber optic sights and they lighted the gun up by cutting a vent into the top of the slide. Very nice! I just finished building my 223 last night and now onto either a 6.5 grendel or 458 soscom. Then maybe the new xdm

Have two, 9 & 40.  Love them both. The xdm is worth the extra money over the xd. I've never had a single misfire in either. Mostly shoot the 9 to keep ammo costs down. You get a holster, dual mag pouch, speed loader, two mags, & three sizes of grip backstraps. Three barrel sizes and three calibers. A very good pistol.

I have a xdm .40 and it is top heavy feeling for me. I like my Glock 22 better. You'll find this to be a Chevy/Ford/Dodge debate.

Question....  If it's to carry (bowhunting let's say)  I was thinking the Ruger 357... light etc.  only thing I don't like is the short barrel..  357  vs 40     vs  wolf/bear?      weight is a factor.
