Any Archery Banquets Out There
« on: January 24, 2012, 05:25:29 PM »
Every year I go to my local RMEF banquet and get dissapointed in the lack of archery equipment available for auction or rafle. Are there any archery specific banquets here in WA. I live to the west of Seattle.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Skookum Archery Club's banquet was this past Sat but because of loss of power at the banquet facility, it's been postponed until Feb.

fullabull, i'm guessing you'd be required to be a member of the club to be invited to the banquet, or at least sign up while you're there.

Yes, members only are invited but you could certainly purchase a membership at the banquet.
When a new date is set, I'll post it on here.

Going to the WA State Bowhunters banquet in March.

Joined the WSB today at the Sportmans Show. Great organization and I cant wait to meet more of the folks and get more involved.

They are working on developing their website and making it easier to join.

Thanks all, does anyone have a web site of contact information for the WA bowhunters org? I can't find a web site for them.

Thanks in advance,
Fulla

The website is www.wabowhunters.com.  The ability to buy a membership on there isn't activated yet but you can buy one at the banquet, any sportsman show, via ebay, or just send in a membership application.  It's only $20/year.  The winter newsletter goes out this week.

Thanks  Shawn,

Appreiciate your help. I am working on getting a membership and attending the banquet. Looking forward to meeting more fellow archery hunters.

The RMEF banquets are all coming up soon. The one in Vancouver is on the 25th. PM me if you're in this area.

Pianoman, I will be attending the RMEF banquet in Snoqualmie on the 25th as it is close to home.
I do plan on attending the WABowhunter banquet so maybe those here on this site (that attend) should try and meet each other during that banquet.

Is the RMEF banquet at the Snoqualmie Casino?

If so you can count me out!

CLUB BANQUET UPDATE:

The new date for the Club Banquet is Feb. 25th.  The registration is in the Jan. newsletter available on line at:  http://www.skookumarchery.com/downloads/

PLEASE NOTE:  You may bring non-member guests for $20 for ages 13 and up, $15 for ages 6-12, under 6 is free.  YOU MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED BY FEB. 18th TO ATTEND.
This is a change from in the past because we can't afford to waste money paying the caterer for extra meals on the chance that walk ins attend.  Thanks for your understanding.
If you registered for the original date and can't make the new date please contact the treasurer for a refund (reinfca@yahoo.com).

BANQUET RAFFLE UPDATE:

The raffle is still on for the 25th!  NEED NOT BE PRESENT TO WIN!  Note a change to the Skookum Logo Wear raffle is that you can order different merchandise up to same value of the originally posted item ($95.07 tax and embroidery included) - this is to accommodate different body types, as the original jacket we chose is nice, but fairly fitted, and some people (me included!) prefer a more relaxed fit.  The original logo wear item for the raffle, along with all other logo wear choices, can be found here:
http://www.companycasuals.com/SkookumArcheryClub/b.jsp?id=6834785&parentId=7
Don't forget we are also raffling a refurbished full size 3D elk, a hand tied quilt and a Kindle!!!!!
For tickets (if you're not attending the banquet) please contact me at skookum.comm@gmail.com and we'll get you taken care of.
