Custom made turkey calls
« on: January 24, 2012, 07:20:31 PM »
I'm trying to see if there is an interest in custom made pot calls.  I have made a couple and they sound very good.  I just don't want to commit to making a bunch of them if there is no interest.

I have made them out of zebrawood, walnut and cherry.  I would only use these woods until I got the chance to test others and guarantee they sounded good.  They can be made with slate, glass, crystal, aluminum, or copper playing surfaces.  I most likely charge somewhere between $28-$30.

Give me some feedback so I can better make a decision.

Can you make some novel ones? I saw some that were made to look like turtles and the striker was the head.

I think the price point is fine. Most pot calls are in that range.

Oh I know, I was just talking in general. I was just saying his prices would be fair at that price. Nothing to do with your posts. Kinda looked that way but I was just saying I could see people buying them at 30.00 each.
