Is this coyote tracks?
« on: January 26, 2012, 12:02:45 PM »
I was out in the woods yesterday and noticed these tracks on an old landing.  I assumed, by the look of the scat that it was coyote, but the tracks seemed quite a bit bigger than other coyote tracks I've seen.  That's a .243 round for comparison.  The tracks are a couple days old, so they'd been rained on and melted and refrozen, so I guess that could have changed their size.  Am I way off on my idea of how big coyote tracks are/should be?

You can kind of see all 4 nails in this pic, I thought I had a better one of the prints with more defined nails, but I guess not.

Thanks guys!

Yes, I cannot see them. In addition,I have tried to post a new thread with a pic in the yote forum and was unable to. I can respond to threads and create other new threads in other forums, but am having issue in this one. I have not however, tried to create a new thread, with pics in other forums as of yet.

UPDATE: I was able to post a new topic on other threads with pics. I had tried to rename/move the pic I wanted to attach in the yote section, but was still unable to post it. I would get the message that I had already created the thread and that I was duplicating it.
