Cody Robbins had been hunting this buck since 2010, and shot it in saskatchewan at 20 yards with a bow. The buck was scored by three pope and young scorers and was 288" non typ guess it beat the old record by 13". Those drop tines are insane. :yike: :yike: Congrats to him after bagging that monster after hunting him for two years.

Yup he used to film for Shockey, and a few years back he branched out on his own and I believe started his own guiding business.  I meet him about 5 years ago and he was helluva great guy and very Humble, very happy for him!  Way to go Cody!!!

If i was a guide and had a tag it would take a lot of money for me not to shoot it.

Cody still does a little guiding for Jim in the Yukon but if any of you saw the episode 4-5 years ago where Cody shot that giant Mountain Caribou with Jim...that was the end of him filming for Shockey.

He is a great videographer and has the best muley hunting dvd on the market in my opinion.  Its called "Here be Kings."

His show is moving to the Outdoor channel this summer with Nosler as the primary sponsor.  Watch for it, it will be good.

Plus, he has a hot gf.  She shot a nasty heavy muley this fall with her muzzy!  Ahhh, to be a Saskatchewan resident!

I remember him from some older hunting videos for Mulies  in Saskatchewan.  Him and Jim were always very intertaining in their humor and the muledeer hunts were awesome.  Back then Cody had braces.  Some of my favorite hunting videos.

Bearhunter, was he at the SAB state 3d ? he looks really familiar to me too...
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.
