Promises you've mad to get more huntin time!!!

I think you have to train them early on... I have a buddy that for a Loooong time only had girlfriends 9 months out of the year max! As soon as bow hunting ended, there was a brief break, then waterfowl started... After 2 weeks of that 90% of them were GONE! Kinda reminds me of that fishing song "You never know what you'll catch" The guy goes fishing and he knows the house will be empty when he gets home, and don't care... 

My wife calls it being a hunting widow..

My wife is used to it.  She did get on my case a little more this year.  At least I don't stay out all day long hunting then fishing afterwards like I used to.  I cut back on the fishing, so she has been happy.

After 28 years she missed me in the beginning a little when the kids were home. Now she cooks some ready to heat meals for me,pats me on the butt and says dont come home early. I start with muzzy elk in 1st Oct. than right into modern deer befroe I get back home and start duck.

I think it is a vacation forher too.

I promise her she can visit her folks till the season is over,,holy crap I forgot to pick her up, ,,,never have had to say anything or promise,been married to a keeper for 35yrs pretty lucky man

Yeah I know Pete you don't have to remind me. It'll start growing again in September.

I even took her to Hawaii for 10 days in October because the hunting sucked here!!!!!!!!!!

The only promise I made to the old lady, was that I would sleep in with her on the weekends once the season is over, and by golly, I am keeping my promise....

I have to replace our back deck and enlarge the new one!!!!!  Plus my wife wants me to fall our pine trees in front of our house...

I just leave her the debit card and tell her to make sure I have enough gas to get home.
