becauce there hound hunting cant boot hunt any more. during the hound season. Rick

hiker's i guess. seem's like it's to late sept2. berry's and other thing's going on. might try this year. seen a nice brown bear during turkey season in colville. would like to hunt sherman pass to got my biggest buck there last year. Rick

Cabin,
 If you are worried about Trichonosis spiralis I sure hope you dont eat squirrels or pork, because they have the same parisite in thier muscle tissue. All it takes is to make sure it is fully cooked before you eat it.

I never said I wouldn't eat cougar meat.  Would really like to try it, actually.  I only said the butcher shops we talked to wouldn't touch it because of the trichonosis parasite.  At that time we didn't butcher any meat ourselves, so we were left with it.
