It will be the 13th, and I sure would not be happy if they decided to move opening day back a week to the 20th. I would much rather have 19 days to hunt deer than only 12 days. Not only that but if it was the 20th, deer season would overlap elk season on the eastside, and the WDFW will not overlap modern firearm deer and elk seasons.

The east and west dont have to mirror each other Bob, I would like to see it start the 20th.

It's always been that way and I don't see them changing it this year. Not sure why they would?   :dunno:

OK, maybe not ALWAYS but how far back do you want to go? Do you remember when opening day of modern firearm deer wasn't the same between east and west?

There are plenty of hunts that differ from East to West, I've no idea why you always say they need to be the same.

I'm only talking about opening day of general season deer. Isn't that what this topic is about? Again, how many years do we have to go back to see different opening dates between east and west?

Doesn't matter how far back you need to go Bob, the FACT is that it has not ALWAYS been the same. You always come on here and speak as an expert, as someone that knows for a fact what you are saying is correct. There are a lot of people on here that don't know what the truth is and for you to state is as fact is irresponsible and misleading.

Posting opinions are everyone's privilege on this site, but it should be posted as opinion, and not gospel if you really don't know what the truth is. :twocents:

Problem is it will be the 12th the following year and the 11th the year after that. If the herds are in such poor condition, and they're not, then why not just shut down hunting for the next three years and really let them rebuild?

When was the last time the modern seasons opened on the 13th, 12th and 11th for the three year set?
