I clean my gun all the time.  I have a question for anyone?  Is it a bad idea to take apart my benilli pump hammer?  On the last day of this season my gun would only shoot black cloud and federal ammo.  It would not shoot kent or winchester.  So I am asuming that somthing is wrong with my hammer spring which is not giving the proper force to fully set off the primer.   Any advic or ideas.  By the way I would never recommend anyone buy a benelli nova.  I have consistantly had issues with this gun for the past three years since I bought it.
probably a dirty firing pin.  Had great luck with the Nova.  Know lots of guys with them as well.  Pretty bullet proof, so I am suprised your having issues with it.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I know thats why I bought the nova, because of its reputation.  I don't know maybe I got a lemon?  Thanks for the advice on the firing pin.

I did the complete scrub on the duck gun.  How far do most get into the cleaning of your duck gun?

Just like you do.

I usually do the clomplete tear down once mid-season and once after the season.  The ol' Beretta builds up quite a bit of powder residue in the action with the gas piston system unlike those fancy benellies with the inertia system.  But I don't mind cleaning it, she runs like a brand new gun after a good scrub down and a lube job.
