I have shot, and want to buy a ruger single 6 with the swapable cylenders for 22lr and 22mag. Those are SWEET!  You get the practice and low cost of a 22lr and the ability to have 22mag... Buddy has one and i want one bad, just don't have the $$$ right now to do it...

Second that for sure.  Had a Smith and Wesson 22 auto - 422, ok accurate, have the Walther .22 again ok accurate...  Had the  Smith and Wesson .22 revolver- accurate.... Just got the Ruger Mark II, as pictured above, it shoots freaking awesome, will put the smack down on Gophers this year in Wyoming....  The Browning Buck Mark is another super accurate 22 pistol.

1 vote for the Browning Buckmark here. I've had mine for a couple years, it's accurate, easy to shoot

Another vote for the Rugers.... just plain fun and they never break.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

I also had a Ruger 22/45 mkIII target, with the 5.5" bull barrel. It was alot of fun. good trigger. Kind of a pain to takedown. I traded that for a .380 and now I have a .22 revolver and I love it. In the past I have had a browning buckmark slab side, a s&w 22a, and a heritage rough rider 6.5" .22lr/.22mag combo. The only one I wouldnt own again was the S&W 22a. it was junk. A s&W 617 would be nice

Browning Buckmark and then look up tactical solutions for some hotrod parts for it
The ruger mk are good guns also
Walther p22, not good if you have big hands, but a good gun, get the kit with the barrel extender, grip swells and extra clips.
Ruger single six or if you want to save a few bucks get a heritage rough rider with both cylinders 22-22mag, not as nice as the single six but fun none the less..

To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

One of the Ruger semi-auto .22s...pick your favorite.  they are very reliable and accurate.
