I shoot a Ruger 22/45 mkII  5.5 bull barrel. I love it its super accurate

The 22/45 is a great .22 pistol! I also like the Single Six.

I have a Ruger MkIII 22/45 that is straightened out at the moment and a Heritage Special that has never had a problem. My MkIII pretty much guaranteed me not to ever own another Ruger...ever. I have a lot of time tied up in that pistol and a little money for aftermarket parts. It's a great little gunTODAY but tomorrow something else may break. It's very accurate when it's functional but keeping it that way has gotten to be a real annoyance. I had to sight my heritage special in, so far that's it.

My advice is to do some Google searches and include the word "problem" after whatever gun you are searching.

Ruger MKIII problem = About 1,060,000 results (0.27 seconds)

Heritage Special 22lr ( I had to pin it down due to a lot of posts about the Heritage Special motorcycle) = About 257,000 results (0.22 seconds)

Hmmmmm, seems I'm not the only one.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have shot, and want to buy a ruger single 6 with the swapable cylenders for 22lr and 22mag. Those are SWEET!  You get the practice and low cost of a 22lr and the ability to have 22mag... Buddy has one and i want one bad, just don't have the $$$ right now to do it...
I have one and love it. 22mag has a bit of pop.

and just for more insight... I have put somewhere between 2000 and 3000 rounds through my pistol and no problems...I have let several other people shoot it as well and no problems.  Last trip out I took two very novice shooters and we put almost a whole box through it so 525 rounds  :dunno: I had exactly two hangups....and I am almost certain it was a loose grip on the shooters part both times... I do want a better trigger its got a long creep to break but otherwise I love this thing....

I really like my CZ 75 Kadet conversion in .22 very accruate; most of the time it's a 9MM but when I want to target or small game it's a .22.  I fell in love with the SIG SAUER Mosquito at the Shot Show might have to get one of them as well.

Walther P22 22LR, 3.4 Inch Barrel, Blued, 10rd Mags.  Can probably pick one up for around $300 maybe less. Sweet little gun!

I have one also, mine is stainless and rosewood grips with both wheels. Love that thing. Looks close to the single 10 that Superdown just posted.

Double lunger, My "little" brother has that Walther and  had the longer barreled one.He likes the shorter one but it has feeidn gproblems with cheaper ammo, he finds that is only cycles reliably with minmag ammo. The bulk Rem ammo doesn't cycle well. The longer one cycled better on the Rem ammo but the Bolt on sight and barrel kept rattling off. so he sold it. What has been your experience... I like the feel of the gun and the way it shoots, but the ammo has kept me from getting one.

Ruger Mark II bull barrel is a great gun and very accurate.  I have a nice collection of them.  You can also get the threaded barrel for a suppressor if you want to do some fun shooting in the back yard, given it is set up safely.
