I've tried several bow shops over the years and finding one that really puts some effort into quality workman ship has been tough. I finally took it into my own hands, I bought a press and did a ton of reading.  It really isn't to tough to do your own work and you know what your going to get.  It also adds another aspect to the sport.  I will never go back to a shop for work again. I would recommend you give it a shot, it is kind of rewarding when you do all your own work and seal the deal during huning season.

I do however miss the BS sessions at the local shops but when it comes to quality work most of my experience with the owners has been just that BS.

I go to riverside archery in mount vernon.

Gary and his wife at Riverside Archery are Fantastic People! I highly respect them and I send a lot of people to them!  :rockin:

Most of my equipment comes directly from Manufacturers. :) I field test for quite a few companies. :) I have my own archery shop in my yard that is fully equipped to work on virtually any bow made, including crossbows.  :o
