Westside Elk Sheds
« on: February 15, 2012, 11:17:15 AM »
I am a college student and I dont get too much time to get out in spring due to baseball, but I will have time over spring break! I was wondering if by march the elk will have dropped their antlers in SW washington?

They start dropping around mid March.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Ok my break is the last week of march. I would like to spend 2 or 3 days hiking the hills and looking for sheds. I have only found one and it was by accident. I know some great areas to go so Hopefully I will find a few!

They will be dropping pretty steadily near the end of march so you'll be good to go.
