I bought some sweet mesquite seasoning from Costco that is a good rib rub. It has a slight BBQ sauce flavor to it. Bon appitite

I take a one quart mason jar fill it half way with brown sugar then with the half remaining I fill a quarter with paprika and a quarter with garlic powder both from Costco so you don't go broke then sea salt not too much this is important because iodized table salt will toughen your meat some onion powder and cayenne pepper put the lid on and shake taste it and add what you need. I like the mason jar because you can throw whatever you don't use in the cupboard for next time.

Here's one to try. I usually Quadruple it and keep it in a shaker.
2 TBLS Salt
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp Chipotle powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp dark brown sugar
1/2 tsp granulated garlic
pinch of cinnamon
Start by drying out the brown sugar in the microwave so it doesn't clump.
Rub yellow mustard on the ribs, apply rub.

I know this sounds weird but if you smoke chicken make this sauce to put on the chicken after you cook it.
3/4 C mayo
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp horseradish
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp cayenne
Mix it all in a processor and refrigerate the longer the better

here is one I made up and really like
1tbsp johnny's season salt
2tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp blk pepper
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
2 tbls brown sugar
double or triple as needed
mix it all well and rub the ribs, both sides, be generous with the rub, start the smoker, leave the ribs out at room temp, the sugar should become like a liquid by the time the smoker is ready...If you are grilling omit the sugar,it will burn and taste like crap...be sure to pull the membrane off the ribs ahead of the spices...

On my ribs I just rub some KC Mastpiece BBQ seasoning. Then while smoking it get mopped about every hour with favorite BBQ sauce mixed with apple sauce, apple vinager, and butter, sometimes I add some Franks to that to get some kick. Someday I will figure out my own rub and sauce, but no-one has ever turned these suckers down. Not even my vegetarian sister.
Added some pics, man this thread is making me hungary.

I have a friend who does competition BBQ, this is his rub recipe. Best I ever had. Makes enough for several racks. I coat the ribs with it, then pressure cook them for 18 mins, then take them out and coat them again before they go on the smoker. Start to finish, 3 hours total (with the pressure cooker). Don't forget the mop sauce. And as Rasbo says, don't forget to de-membrane the ribs first.
1/2 cup raw sugar (Turbinado)
1/4 cup salt (I use plain)
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbs garlic powder
2 tbs granulated onion
2 tbs paprika
2 tbs chili powder
2 tbs black pepper
1 tbs cayenne pepper
1 tbs cumin
1 tsp nutmeg
MOP SAUCE Ingredients:
1 bottle beer
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tbs garlic powder
1 tbs granulated onion
1 tbs paprika
