Never heard of Ellensburg being a hot spot for waterfowl and can freeze small ponds fast.  There are feilds but Moses Lake is about 60+ miles away. Othello has public areas as well.  Tri-Cities but now thats a drive 100+miles with lot of folks and hit or miss.

Use google earth to find places that will hold ducks, ponds, creeks. Go ask for permission (before the season). Im sure there are public places up in that valley, but im not sure how much.

yeah from what I know of you gotta drive somewhere... Vantage, Moses Lake, George, Quincy, Tri Cities... I'm sure there are some Ellensburg natives on here who would be able to help out hopefully!

I would bet there's some good field hunting for geese to be had around Ellensburg somewhere but probably on private land that someone else has permission but I really don't know. Heck if there's 50 geese in the middle of spokane next to a high school (block from my house :bash: :bash:)there oughta be some geese or ducks in a field around somewhere.

We are pretty close to the pot holes... I just head out that way. Doesn't take long at all. There are some decent spots along the Yakima I guess. Just gotta do ur scouting, but I would make the short drive to basin.
