Kimber
« on: February 12, 2012, 10:41:47 AM »
Well I finally got the whole rig put together.
I bought the Kimber Pro Crimson Carry 2 with a 4" barrel. I went with the Galco "Kimber" signature paddle holester and Galco mag pouch. 2 additional Kimber 8 round mags and now its complete and ready for its service.

It sure is a nice handling firearm and the features are real nice.
I havent had a chance to shoot and check the zero from the factory on the "Crimson Trace grips" Should be close if not right on.

I know Kimber makes a great pistol but I am not sure of the black slide :dunno:. too many different colors on this gun, looks kinda pieced together to me. It does look good in the holster though. But, I am a glock guy so what would I know about fancy guns anyway. Nice carry piece!

Nice ....almost went with that same gun when I bought mine, then found a great deal on a Custom Covert II.  I also like d the look of the digital desert camo.  Later on I picked up an railed Custom SIS model, which has since been discontinued.  Nice guns for sure.

The Covert 2 is awesome. They didnt have one so I bought the Pro Crisom. You have a nice piece forsure
The package I put together is a really cool package. Both are nice looking hand canons.

Really. A Glock.
I carry dailey a XD40 sub. But the Kimber and Glocks are apples and lemons.  :yike:
Jeez, all black plastic versa attention to detail? :dunno:
I will keep both.
My plastic gun and My Kimber.
The plastic is tossed under the seat when I cant pack it, and the Kimber is worn when I wont have to be unarmed.
My Kimber is 2nd only to my very ugly Black plastic XD40.
But The kimber is pretty and carries a big bang.
Not to mention I now have a Kimber Pro Crimson Carry 2 in My collection. Do You? :dunno:

I've got a custom crimson II. I bought it as a plinker but carry it a lot as my CCW. When I was working closer to home I would shoot bowling pins at the Centralia club every Wed. night with the Kimber. Over 2000 rounds through mine and only 2 failures to feed and that was with loads I made up that were too short. I've shot pins against a lot of high end 1911's and never felt handycaped by my Kimber.

:) I carry one gun, I own a duplicate. I carry it because I present and shoot very quickly from the holster, I sweep the pins in "pin shoots" with it in like 2.5;; I qualify at 500pts. every time, it feels like my hand, I have shot a mail box at 100 yards with it on a bet in a gravel pit.
It is a Kimber pro carry II 45 acp, find the gun you can shoot like that, and buy two!! nothing else matters!!! forget brand name etc.

no doubt the Kimber and Glocks are apples to oranges. I have no doubts about the quality of the gun you have. I don't have one but I do want one. all I was saying is I personally don't like the black slide on the silver frame with the wood grips. too many colors for me. now, once it was in the holster alot of the black was concealed and it looks nice. I will one day have me a Kimber in my collection and I am happy you do now.

My carry piece is a Kimber Tac Pro II  4" model.  I love this gun.

I would say the last thing you need to be 100% complete is a mag well put on it.  Helps feet the mags faster in those times when seconds count.

Heck of a nice gun though, I like the trimson trace....wish I had one!!

Right on. It they make a bunch of different colors. The digital Camo is real cool.

No they arent real wood. They say they are Rose wood but they are some sort of plastic. They feel real nice none the less.
