I hunted this area pretty hard in september, and never saw anything bigger than a little two point . I was pleasantly suprised to find this guy on my new camera.

Sure is nice to find a bigger buck than you already knew was there. That's the nice thing about trail cams. At least it gives you reason to spend more time there during hunting season.

I see you have the Primos 46. I've got one too, had it for a little over a month. I'm wondering how accurate is the temperature stamped on the photos with yours? Mine is 15 degrees too low, consistently.

I'm thinking about taking it back to Cabelas for that reason, and I've only got a couple weeks since they only warranty electronic stuff for 60 days.

I really hate to do it, because I had another Primos 46 prior to this one, which I got from Wal mart online, and it took bad pictures, and I returned it and got my money back for that reason. It also was 15 degrees off on the temperature.

I'm just thinking maybe they are all that way with the temperature? Or did I get the only two that are defective in that regard?

As far as I can tell the thermometer has been pretty accurate, though I haven't compared it to another thermometer. I left mine out through the bad ice storm and snow and it was fine. The day pictures I've gotten have been of birds and leaves only but seem ok. I'm pretty happy with the distance it picks up at night and the battery life so far. It was a gift and unreturnable so I'm glad it works,Maybe I just got a good one!

Well it was pretty obvious to me how far off mine was, when I went to check it wearing a t shirt, and the pictures it took of me whan I arrived there said it was 35 degrees. Then I started paying attention to what my truck thermometer would say and came to the conclusion that it was consistently anywhere from 13 to 15 degrees off. I could see it being off by 1 or 2 degrees but 15 is a little excessive if you ask me. I even used www.wunderground.com to check weather history. Would you mind saying what general area these pictures were in, and I could check it that way? Or maybe you could try. You just go the the weather almanac at the link I posted and put in the date, and it gives you the weather history in, IIRC, 15 minute intervals.

According to wunderground it was around 40 degrees when that pic was taken, making it about 6 degrees too low. The location was about 15 miles away but thats a pretty big drop :dunno: Anyone else you talk to about this camera have issues?

No, I've asked on another forum as well and I can't even get anybody to respond to my question about the temperature being off. I guess if other camera's have the same issue as mine, people just don't care.   :dunno:

Thanks for checking into that though!

I see a easy way to solve this problem, buy a big thermometer and set it up so your camera  can see it and leave it till you get pics. Compare the two and you have your answer
