Dang! Those give gall stones new meaning, I would go extinct as well if I had to poop rocks like that.  :yike:

Well, this adds a new level to tracking.  Warm and steaming...nearly standing on elk.  Cold and wet, probably elk within a couple of days.  Dry, probably different season.  Petrified...you're hunting the NE corner.
