Partners????
« on: February 11, 2012, 08:37:36 PM »
There are a lot of posts of people looking for someone to hunt with . Up till last year that was not a problem for me until some of my guys, lost jobs, got sick, got tired, got old, or ran out of vacation. seven at elk camp. No one at deer camp for four days.

So I have a idea. How about a Meet & Greet for guys or gals looking for hunting partners? Kind of like those old speed date nights. Where you spend 10 minutes at a table talking than switch. I dont know seems like there is a need.

Anyone interested????

I think that would be a great idea! If nothing else it never hurts to meet more people with common interests!

I wonder if you could just set up a time for everyone to get on the chat room?

The chat room is a good idea but in the long run most people want to talk to hunting partners in the flesh. There are lot of things that go into deciding to spend you precious time hunting with someone. For me the more the merrier.

I put up a camp every year for turkey, deer and elk size depends on how many hands there are. I put out a sign because every camp should have a name and a sign. GHOST CAMP. I have about anything you need for camp form stoves, laterns, cots ,cook shack ,generator.

The other thing I have is time. I am on call 24/7 but when hunting season comes I am gone. And my employer knows it.

I am not rich I hunt on a buget but I have never been on a hunt where I couldnt pay my fair share. And do my share of the work. I am 60 but most folks think I am in my 50s.

I was thinking getting a large space some where and having evyone show with a little bio sheet and some phots of past hunts. Bio sheet would have maybe
contact info, what you hunt, how you hunt, weapons you hunt, in state out of state, east side west side. Time retrains and so on.

If enough people were intrested I can get a couple large rooms for the day for nothing. In Mount Vernon. Come set up a table couple chairs and mill around meeting like minded folks.

I'm not sure how to put up a survey, on this site, but I do know I would be willing to attend a meeting like this.  I have spent most of my time hunting in Germany and the hunting here, in my home state of Washington, is all new to me.

Post a date and time, and I'll be there.
