Bonney Pool Sturgeon
« on: February 12, 2012, 11:06:24 AM »
Went out yesterday, whew- winds were bad- of course.  We ended up doing pretty good with three keepers and a bunch of 35" shakers....  At the end of the day no boats left except us and a very stupid guide with 6 clients.  I say stupid as I am running a boat designed for the ocean with windshield and hard top and it got pretty rough but highly manageable with the deep vee.  The guy was running an flat open sled with 7 people total on board.  Not the first time I seen or heard of this particular guide doing something totally stupid and putting clients in jeopardy.  Wow!  All were soaked from the waves....  Wish I took a picture...

Extremely happy- If I would have had my old 22 foot Thunderjet, it would have been a short day for sure.  It got pretty rough, would have been a kidney bleeding day in a jet on return..

That's why they make throttles.........sometimes you just have to slow down to keep from pounding things to pieces.

Throttle hell-  Jet boats are made to run them like you stole them... :chuckle:  But thanks for the advise, never thought about slowing down, hmmmm what a concept!
