Sounds like thar is going to be some feuding going on in the NE starting April 15th, instead of Opening Day of General Spring Turkey Season?   Any Hatfield's and McCoy's up that way?  Let's not leave out Colville and the surrounding fine communities?  Be on the lookout for any "hunters" carrying Backwoods Turkey Calls in their vests!   :chuckle:

:yike:   I like my Backwoods call better than any of my other dozen pot calls ... but then again I still perfer any of my 5 dozen mouth diaphragms.  They're lots easy to pack than the two large tool boxes of pots with strickers, boxes, tube calls, wing bones, etc.    :chuckle:

Hey TD, I really like my Backwoods (glass over slate) friction call also.  So I retract my statement which should have read:    Be on the lookout for any "hunters" in Lincoln County packing Imposter Calls in their vests!    :chuckle: :chuckle:

Planning on making a trip to Denver again this year so we are going to try for Rio/Merriam's hybrids in SW Nebraska.  Has anyone hunted the Cornhusker state?  Any advise or stories to tell?

Sounds like most of you are staying in the Northwest or Californa this spring?

Will probably go shoot a couple at my grandma's in Wisconsin if I make it back there during the season.  She absolutely hates them and chases them through the woods with her John Deere :chuckle:.

Naches, Hope you can get a picture of John Deere vs. Boss Tom went you next make the trip.    :chuckle:

Trying to set something up to go to central Montana in early May.  Haven't been back to the family ranch in the spring in a couple years.

Would be nice to catch some big trout, shoot a load of prairie dogs, and maybe a turkey..

And.. since I spent $561 on my non-resident Deer tag they reduce the turkey tag to ONLY $55.  Isn't that nice of them...

Kimber, Cast and blast sounds like a great option!  Good looking back ground for your Merriam's photo!

Anyone have experience with or can recommend a semi-guided outfitter for Spring Gobblers in Central or North/Northeastern Montana?
