Got a problem with a redhead mount
« on: February 17, 2012, 10:16:37 AM »
My only redhead drake...
Grandpa had it stuffed for me eons ago, and we hung it on the wall in his "man cave".  He's been gone for 10 years now, and Grandma decided to start dismantling the cave to make another room for grandkids.  She sent the redhead over in a box with my folks so I could hang it up in my house.  I open the box and instantly think "WTF??".  Dad says "Oh, yeah, Grandma dropped it when she was pulling it off the wall.  There's some pieces of feathers in the bottom of the box."
Really not too bad, just the head got snapped off between the neck and eye.  Is this even possible to repair an area with feathers that thin?  If so, I'll see if I can get some pics up soon.  I was so sick about it I just closed the box back up and put it in my truck.
