Pope and young and Boone and Crockett it can't be entered. SCI it can be entered that's why I was wondering. If he joins sci he can put it in the record books.

They all have different minimums as well. SCI has a different method of scoring, after it shrinks he can find a scorer in his area. The minimum for bow is 46" the top 10 in the world go from 70 5/7" to 77 1/8"

So for an SCI Score you only need the length of each horn and the circumferance?  You don't need any tip to tip measurments or width measurments.  So the horns can be pulled off the skull?

Looking at the score sheet it appears you need circumference measurements of each horn base and the length f each horn, accompanied by a photo. I think the photo would probably be best of the horns on the skull.

I don't know for sure, but I see nothing that says a taxidermist cannot proceed with cleaning the skull. It appears the horns could be put back on the skull for the photo and measured after whatever drying period they require.

Do you know an official scorer you can call, or do you need me to call one?

Charlie/bucklucky is one. I am sure he can do it for them. If he is a member of sci it free, not sure if you are not a member if there is a fee. I know charlie is one because I took my bear that Michelle has over to him to have it scored for sci books.

Wow, just measured the kids Bison, 13" bases, 25" inside spread, 19" length and outside was 28"- done with a seamstress type tape, so it is not perfect for sure.......
