I'm going a different direction, I'll sell my like new custom barreled action in 7mm WSM for 1300.00, just had a 32 inch .338 Obermeyer barrel show up, need to get it put together and it sure ISN'T going to be a Lapua.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

OK, here we go again!!  These are my favorite topics on here and just my opinion.  I would go with the 7mm WSM in a Savage if a straight production rifle because I like the features and the barrel you get for the money in the Savage.  If full custom is the way you go, I'd go with a ~.800" Shilen barrel on a 700 action with a jewel trigger and I'd have Dave Christman build it.  He builds great "beanfield" rifles.

Well, when I actually get to the point of building it, I am going to do it myself, with just a little help from a friend.  We will see what kind of action comes my way.

If you want a list of gun shows I can send you a couple links. They are always good places to hunt for deals and pick up stuff
