I'm planning on shooting my same arrows, 340 Axis, and keeping my sight and my rest (trophy taker).  Just time for a new bow, one that's fast and quiet.

What is your draw lenght and draw weight?  I was planning on shooting the 340's and it was way undersplined.  I also shoot a 29.5 inch arrow and 30 inch draw at 70 lbs with 125 grain points.  The 300 were the way to go.  I may even back it down a few lbs to optimize my 300 spine.

70lbs, 30" draw and  I use a loop too.  Been shooting the 340's for about 5 years in my switchback, same weight and length.

I too have been shooting 340's for many years.  It sounds like our bows will be set up almost identical.  I kid you not, the 340's would not group out past 20 yards.  I thought I had forgotten how to shoot, but after doing some research (look up some of my post over the past 2 weeks) I made the switch and now it is shooting like a dream.  It even paper tuned with the 340's (slight up tear 1/4") but other wise decent.  Just wouldn't group past 20??? :dunno:  Let me know how yours shoots with the 340's at longer ranges.

So got the new bow home.  when I got it set up at the bow shop, I swapped my sights and rest over, got it tuned for center shot, set the peep etc.  So today go out and start at 20 yards.  It was hitting high and righ, so a couple of adjustments on my sight and bingo!  It's drilling them in about a 2" group at 40 :IBCOOL:  This bow is very quiet and very fast.  I'm shooting the same arrows as I did in my switchback and it definetly zings them out a lot faster.  Gonna have to break out the chrono and see what it's doing.  So far, I love it, can't wait to whack a turkey with it next month.
