I'm not stuck on Mathews D-rock, I shot Hoyt for 10 years before I got the mathews, it's just that I've had good luck with my Mathews and my dealer that I like to deal with is a Mathews dealer, so I just thought I'd stay with him rather than the brand.  I am a firm believer in keeping business local when the customer service warrants it.  I may just have the switchback freshened up and keep going with it.. :dunno:

Did he have one in stock to shoot? And doesn't Brandon still carry Hoyt?

I called him to get a price on the Heli m and was quoted MSRP....needless to say I bought mine elsewhere.  There are three shops in that quoted me way less than he quoted, and he didn't seem overly friendly on the phone.  Maybe he was busy...I don't know the guy and have never met him but I did tell him I was looking to buy and he didn't seem interested.

I did however pick my Heli m up today.  I paid 110 dollars less than he quoted me.  I shot both the heli m and the Hoyt vector 35 before making my decision.  After shooting those two bows it was a no brainer......the Heli m was pretty amazing.  I am 6' and have a 30" draw.  I shoot with a mechanical release and the 30" ata doesn't bother me.

I'm only a 27 inch draw and can shoot a short bow just fine until I starting shooting my alphamax 35.  I noticed a huge difference in forgiveness with a longer bow.

I shot it at high mountain and i thought that it was a nice bow, Draws nice, has a solid back wall and it shoots like a top of the line bow. The bad i cant stand Mathews grip, I wish they would change it. If you talk to Dewey down there try his grip on his personal bow, Its the shiz nit. That's the only reason i wouldn't buy it cause i don't want to spend that kind of money to have to spend more on a grip so im buying a bowtech.

I had a Switchback loved it. I bought the Z7 Extreme last year and like it even better. I have no problems with short ATA lenghts. This thing drives tacks and I am 6 foot tall.  I would recommend these bows to anyone. If he is giving you a good deal I would do it. I am into my Z7 $1,400.00 all set up.
PM sent.

Picked up my Mathews Heli-M yesterday!  I have to tell you.  I'm in love.  I am going to go out and shoot it on Saturday...stoked.

My setup out the door was: Mathews Heli-M, Spot Hogg 5 Pin Sight, QAD Rest, Tru-Glo fold back release, Stokerizer Stabilizer.

Went and put about 40 or 50 arrows through it today down at Cedar River.  Big shout out to those guys down there.  I'm a brand new archer and they were really helpful giving me tips.

Pretty funny, didn't know where the first arrow was going to go so I started at a nice safe 20 yards.  Put it right into the 2x4!  Blew the nock out and lost my field tip and insert on my first shot, kind of embarrassing, but definitely funny.  The sight was about four feet off, and after some adjustment I was shooting a pretty good group at 20 yards.  Had a blast.

I'm a member down there now, so looking forward to shooting plenty.  Anyone else shoot at CRB?
