Domain name registrar
« on: February 28, 2012, 11:19:50 AM »
FYI
This morning when I tried to open the Hunting-Washington page, I got a Renew your Domain name page pop up instead of the home page.
Probably already solved, but I would hate to have some disgruntle old forum members jack this domain name, lol
Only 2 defining forces sacrificed themselves for you:

He trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle.

You weren't the only one. I got the same thing, and I believe most other people did too. Only a few were able to get on the site.

Really wierd, I could get on just fine but people kept contacting me saying the forum wouldn't load. For some reason some members would get the (domain expired window) and other members like myself the forum loaded just fine.

The domain had expired, but it still had a 30 day grace period. But the domain host wouldn't let me renew because they thought Ray still owned it. For some reason they had another person (neither Ray nor I) down as the contact. So we had to email the other person and get their approval to move the domain name onto an account in my name.

The server hosting company had sold the domain hosting portion of their company to another domain hosting company. When records were transferred they somehow must have put another person down as the domain owner. So for the last few months another person (neither Ray nor I)was listed in their records as owning the domain, even though a who-is search would show my name as the domain owner. Strange.... :bash:

Supposedly all should be fixed now...  :chuckle:

Damn... I could've back-ordered this place for a $65 bid.   I contemplated it. :chuckle:

You might try clearing you internet browser's temporary files, then close and restart your browser.  That may help.

You would have been late, I bid on it at 3:00 this morning from home thinking it would get the site up again  NOT .... when I got to work I found out that I could not access the bid (boeing blocked) and then I saw it was protected for 30 days. Anyhow it is back up again.

Still a bunch of people unable to access the site.  I am having to use my DROID to get on hunt wa.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
