Not trying to take anything away from it....it is a beautiful fish.....but....it looks.to me like an adipose fin hiding under the front edge of the rag...... if that is why it was released you should probly pull the picture since it is illegal to remove them from the water....

Its pretty damn close, some of my pics look like they are out of the water but they got a fin touching. Sweet fish and I see nothing wrong with how he handled it.

It is unlawful to totally remove
salmon, steelhead, or Dolly Varden/bull trout
from the water if it is unlawful to retain those
fish, or if the angler subsequently releases the
salmon, steelhead, or Dolly Varden/bull trout.
