Anyone use the Stinger? I am shooting in 100gr, what type of result's have folks got with these?

That is what I have used the past couple of years, never had the chance to shoot an animal with them yet, but shooting them in practice they fly true.

very good head, I shoot them out of my recurve, they penetrate well and fly true. Bleeder blades seem kinda small, but they leave a good blood trail. main blades are very strong

If I am shooting a 300gr carbon arrow, would 100gr Stinger's be the best match, or should I go lighter? Not even sure if Magnus makes one lighter, but I would think so.

stick with the weight you have been shooting your field tips.
they will work fine. they may fly different that your practice points though....you won't know till you try them.

i'm gonna shoot 100 grain slick tricks.

They definitely have more "drop", I just lowered my pins a touch to compensate, though you really only notice once you get out to at least 30 yards. At 20 yards, I'm dropping maybe an inch or two more than w/ 100gr practice points.

It must vary from set up to set up on peoples bows because mine shoots the same as field points out to forty yards. I haven't had a chance to shoot them farther yet, but out to forty they are flying true out of my bowtech, even with fletching contact on my cables.

Bone are you using two bladed stingers or do you have bleeders on the heads you shoot out of your long bow? Nice animals by the way.

I use the two bladed ones without bleeders. I want maximium penetration and that is such a big blade, it opens them up wide. The moose was a one shot one kill deal. The elk was a testament to the broadhead. He moved as I shot and I caught the shoulder blade. I went through it and got a lung. I finished him off with one to the neck so he wouldn't go over the mountain. ANY and I really feel this way, and obviously no way to tell, bu t I think most broadheads would have hung up by that shoulder. I don't think I would have penetrated it with my satellite heads with my compound. They basically saved my ass.

Magnus makes a great head! I have taken several deer, elk and bear with the Stinger 4 blades, and I am hoping to do some damage with the Snuffer SS this year. In my opinion, the best thing about the Magnus heads is their warrantee. I've sent back bent and broken heads, parts and pieces of heads, and they've never failed to send me a brand new pack of broadheads. They're the only broadhead company I know of that does this. Plus, if you send them a harvest picture, then they'll send you a shirt or hat, too! They're a good representative of what's right in the industry.

I couldn't agree more. My arrows will be tipped with Magnus broadheads this fall and for many years to come.

By the way, jsut outof me being an idiot, I grabbed an arrow out of my quiver and it was the one I used in NM on my elk. It was coated in blood. Yeah I know...... anyhow, not a single speck of rust on those blades. Un frickin real. A satellite head would have been rusted clean through.

All I did was send an email to info@magnusbroadheads.com with a good photo attached and my address and shirt size, and they had one at my door in a week. They've had that program for a while now, but they don't advertise it much. Those pics you had would be top candidates for their advertising for sure!

Congratulations on some fine trophies! What LBS> are you shooting? I use the stingers too and shoot 55-60 lbs. Not sure what I'll shoot this year. I love a SNOW Blood trail!!!
I went threw 3 new bows in the last three years and I think I Finlay have one I I'm happy with. It's a Mathews Drenelan LD .
