I would like to find the SOB that let them go in the river to start the entire mess in the first place. Those things will smoke our rivers soooo quick.
last thing we need is to get these up in the rivers up there. I have a feeling I might get hit by a flying carp this summer if they make it to the st. croix river. http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2012/03/02/flying-carp-found-in-winona-gov-dayton-calls-for-quick-response/
I've been seeing them in the Swampmen. In fact one of them got smacked in the nads at about 30 mph the other night by a 20 pounder. OUCH!

Sturgeon fishing. I spent many a summer along the St Croix. Grand parents lived there on the MN side in between Danbury, WI and Hinckley, MN.Go back there for 2-4 weeks a summer and fish. My uncle co-owns marine landing in marine on the st.croix, mn. He brought that back to a hopping place now. I would have to say there are a lot of nice fish in there. .
