Good luck on your Goat hunt bearhunter
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Man, I wish I heard about things as fast as you guys...  I passed on a 10" billy on Friday at 28 yards with my bow, then I drew on him a 44 yards and told him he was dead maybe later :chuckle:  Seen about 35 goats that day and got completely fogged out the next.  Had my bivy sack opened cause it was warm out that night, I woke to a wind storm and rain, by then it was to late as my bag was all wet, but it still keep me dry.  Today we seen 68 different goats with a couple of those being 11" nannies.  As well as a very nice billy bigger than Fridays billy is all Im gonna say, and he was in a unapproachable postion for today.  The plan is to head in Wednesday morning the  7 to 8 miles to were he is at and post up there with bow in hand until he puts himself in a stockable position.  So starting Wednesday I will have 2.5 weeks off to get it done before the weather hits!  Got lots of great video in the last few days as well.... Stay tuned :)

I don't know if I could have let a 10"er walk like that! Glad you have more time to put in and hope the weather works out for you.

After finding the goat we found today, I am thankfull that we decided to hold out a bit.  To be honest with you I would have been pretty bummed to end the hunt on the evening of the first day, I want a hunt and the opportunity to concour the mountain as well....  With a great Billy to show for it in the end :)

I can 100% understand that

Sometimes it just happens :chuckle: I can and have been know to get a itchy trigger finger or thumb when shooting a bow :chuckle: Deer seem to be the only thing I can pass and pass and pass on. I am kinda glad you didn't kill him as well. That way you can collect some more videos and photos!!!
