Hellmouth (tornado)
« on: March 04, 2012, 05:43:15 AM »
This is unreal nasty.  Taken in Georgia the other night.  Photo was posted on Fox news network.  I;d love to give credit to the author of this great capture but I don't know who it is.   Crazy SCARY.   Reminds me of the absolute supernatural.

I was just getting ready to ask bone how he got to Georgia so fast to take a pic, then I read his post. I was beginning to think with pictures of all his bucks and now a picture of an awesome tornado, maybe he is super natural.

:yike:  I would wet myself if I saw that coming....

As a STUPID young man when stationed in Millington, Tenn. one evening the TV showed the red screen for Tornado warning..  As I was one of few with cars.. The thought was blerted out to go chase the storm across the miss.... We were already 2 sheets to the wind, so four of us piled into my car and down the road we went. Not far into Arkansas, we saw a twister rip through a shed and some equipment next to a cotton field. Then it dawned on us that it was coming right to us. We all jumped into the car and headed back east with our arses puckered and stomachs in our throats. Never have I wanted to chace a storm like that again. And that was a small one!

Wow that is one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen in my life! The power of the elements is just so unreal. Makes me wonder what there is on other planets. Like do they have twisters and lightning and such.

Heard on the news last night that this has already been the worst March for tornado damage and lives taken.. Crimony we're not even through the first week of the month!

Not meaning to jack the thread, take a look at Scott Sistek's blog on KOMO.com  Cool story/photo of aurora and volcano.  The power and beauty of nature colide.
