Heard my first Gobble!
« on: March 05, 2012, 10:22:46 AM »
So my neighbor has a Tom for a pet and yesterday while doing yard work I thought I heard him gobble. Well 5 minutes later he gobbled so I go grab my calls and he answers back. Come on April 15th

The first time I heard a gobble was pretty awesome.  Got the adrenaline pumping really well.

Then I drew, heard a clanking sound, and watched the gobbler walk away as I put my arrow back together.

Seems when you put your arrows in hot water to use quickfletch, you should remove the nocks first.  Otherwise, they don't stay in the arrow very well anymore.   >:(

I'm hoping to get another chance this year, but seems my Northport trip isn't going to happen.   :(
