The best thing you have ever eaten.
« on: March 05, 2012, 02:36:44 PM »
Got to thinking and was wondering what the best thing you have ever eaten was.  i have a couple that i would have to say were equal. First was 2 years ago when me and my buddy made backstrap burgers for the superbowl. OMG they were amazing, Braised backstrap with  cream cheese habenero sauce and a couple other things i cant remember. the other one is the turducken that we mane this year for christmas. I raised the turkey and the duck (had to buy the chicken mine are all layers) and i added a little wild duck in there just because i had it on hand. all the birds were deboned and brined for a day . in between each layer we put our secret sauce ( only because i forgot what we put in it) spicy jimmy dean sausage and Lots of bacon, sewed it all up and threw it in the oven ( i would have likedto smoke it first but didnt have the time). my whole family said it was absolutely amazing and i would have to agree. my buddy is a chef and we like to try and create some new and interesting recipies. lets hear some of the great things that you have created.

Fresh King Crab in Alaska.  Steamed in sea water and served with melted butter.  This fall for a football game  I got a hold of some Prime Top Sirloin from Costco and ground it up that morning and we made sliders on the wood fired grill outside.  That was without doubt the best tasting burger I have ever eaten.

That's funny Jackelope.  Just this morning someone brought a box of thin mints in for our staff meeting.  I mentioned that the Girl Scouts right now are like drug dealers.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Steak and shrimp at a little resturant 2 blocks down from our resort in cozumel, mex. We like the El Cozumelena resort and the resturant was called the lobster shop, it was soooo good I wanted to get up on the table and dance.
