Furs are no longer good and the pups should be coming out soon. I personally don't like wasting a hide or killing pups by killing the adults. I'd rather see the hunt in the fall when we could skin what we shot, but that just me.

I agree with Bob, too late this year. If I can't utilize the fur or not doing ADC work I won't kill coyotes this time of year  :twocents:

:dunno: Weird. I guess there aren't many trappers who deer hunt. Killing coyotes is a year round endeavor. Akin to shooting starlings or rats.  :dunno: Or if you are a gardener, pulling weeds.

seems the older I get, my thirst for blood is more subdued. having said that, killed one today that got on the wrong side of the fence. And most of the deer where I reside die by the hands of people a different kind of Coyote imports.

You guys who are potentially organizing this should check with Dale...there's a lot of rules involved in doing something like this. We had to get permits from WDFW to run some of the contests we are having on here. I don't know the particulars but he can tell you for sure.
Sounds like a great idea.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield
