I  use 2 3/4 0 buck shot and it stacks them up pretty good. I'm going to be working up the same round but buffering the buck shot with crushed corn cob. Suposed to keep the pattern tighter longer.  I have knocked down yotes with my 18in barrel and said loads at 40yrds... My waterfowl barrel i've done about 60. I pour my own buckshot and place it in standard skeet shells.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I run 3" 4 buck on the first shot and 2 3" oo buck on the next ones. I have killed them with everything from #6 shot to 000 buck. A very very tight choke is a must to get a lot of good pellets in there. It really boosts the killing power when you can put more pellets into them, over counting on just a couple getting the job done.

Carlsons dead coyote choke and Hevi Shot T's or #4 buck are what I use.

#4 buckshot and Dead Coyote loads are good, but expensive.

I like my 3 inch magnum lead BB's, of which I have 3 boxes of 25, which will probably last me a lifetime.

Just  got myself the Dead Coyote choke the other week. Have yet to kill one with it. Just wondering how much pelt damage there is after shooting one. Especially curious if I happen to shoot a bobby.

Depends on what loads you are shooting and the range of the target

Dead Coyote Hevi shot is awesome.  I wish it was around back in the 70's when my dad and I hunted deer on Ft. Lewis.  I have a 40 year old Remington 1200 12 gauge with no choke.  I patterned tested 3" against 3" 00 Buck and the T-shot time after time put a nice circular pattern about 12-14 inches compared to the buck shot that was scattered and sporatically struck the target.  Yes it is pretty expensive but I only plan to use it for hunting.  Besides after about 6 shots my shoulder was getting sore.
