Best grade bobcat in the state

Quick question, what part of the state do you think has the best grade bobcat? When you hear people talk about eastern cats is that going to be any cat east of the Cascades?

funny thing about that is bobcat just averaged over twice what lynx averaged. I was thinking for my dad who still lived in WA. Who knows one of these days I may end up back down there. Family is a strong draw.

Well Teacherman enjoy being up there to the fullest!! Usually the cold winters drive a person back to the lower 48

Wrong, Best cats in WA? NE and the Blues would be my guess.
Best cats in the country? They are scattered about MT, ID, WY, CO, NM
Last year I think the top lot at a NAFA, 5 cats had a MT, WY amd three from NM.
I read where someone had a lot of four from ID at the OTC sale that brought $1200 a cat. Seems like the east side average was $441.

The east side of this state has some outstanding looking cats. Most worth very good money compared to a lot of the cats from other areas. I have seen a few pictures of some amazing cats that came out of montana as well.

ok so my question is... how much is the medium sized nicely spotted winter coat eastiside cat that is tubed out in my freezer worth? second, where can i sell it? seriously....

put the skin on a board. dry it for a couple hrs. turn it fur side out. then we can see what it may be worth. the pelt hopefully has been tagged, and ready to sell.

If you don't want to put them up. George Brady will buy them but you will take a cut in price.

If you plan on selling it frozen. Skinned but otherwise not processed is known as in the grease. I would not hold them too much longer. The last sales of the year will be in May but the last receiving dates for those sales will be during the first week of April. Your buyer needs time to put them up for market. If you don't get them in soon enough and he has to hold them over until next year the price will drop because of the uncertainty of the  future fur prices.
Don't hold them over yourself if frozen. Bobcats are bad for freezer burn and that is not good for trying to sell them.
