I truly wonder what the groups real intention is. Are they a PETA type group that uses the name as a front and don't have the hunters interests in mind.

I think this www.montanasportsmenalliance.com may be the group that many hunters are telling me is not for most Montana sportman's values and trying to get more wolves into Montana. They are trying to prevent SFW and Big Game Forever from being esrablished in Montana because they are very effective groups. While I know that some all groups do not satisfy what everyone thinks exactly, I would look into this www.montanasportsmenalliance.com further before believing everything they say. I am pretty sure I was told www.montanasportsmenalliance.com does not represent most MT hunters very well either and are more of a front for wolf groups.

I don't have time to look this up right now, but I think Toby Bridges has written about this group and he elaborated very well about them.  :twocents:

Unlikely.  Don Peay and his group(s) are very persona non grata with the environmental movement (dated links, but they are still probably applicable)

Here is the web site for "Big Game Forever":  http://biggameforever.org/about-us.php

Further Google searches indicate that some mainstream sportsmen groups have and are distancing themselves with groups that Don Peay is involved with.  Mainstream media such as "Outdoor Life" and "Field and Stream" has editorialized against issues which Peay's groups have supported.

I wouldn't consider Toby Bridges a valid source for rational, factual information.  Nor would I consider anything associated with Don Peay as beneficial to the general unwashed public hunter.

Two rather persuasive editorials explaining the problems and perils of the Don Peay management model

http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/conservationist/2012/03/group-founder-declares-north-american-hunting-model-%E2%80%9Csocialism%E2%80%9D

http://www.adn.com/2012/03/03/2350508/private-hunting-rights-weighed.html

To be fair, I have yet to find an on the record statement of Don Peay's on the "socialism" of American game management.  Don Peay's work on obtaining the Wilson ( I think) ranch in Utah seems to be a win win for the public.
