Nice.  My neighbor has a bunch that look the same as well.  Is it legal to shoot one when it jumps into my yard and starts eatting all my bushes?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

I will be over there in Maui in 2 weeks for a wedding.  I'm considering taking my bow....., but don't know if it's worth the hassle.....

Gringo, If you are going to have time to get away I don't see why you wouldn't try. Having a bow here is alot easier than having a rifle. To live here you have to register your firearms within 72 hours of them being here with the local police department but I am not sure what the policy is for visiting. It's not too much of a hassle though, go to this website... http://hawaii.gov/dlnr/dofaw. Go under the hunting section and download the regultions to look up for the Maui locations/regulations. You just need to bring your hunter's safety card and you can purchase the Non-Resident license for $95. Every island is different with their hunting so just ensure your looking at Maui. I don't know too much about Maui; if it were the Big Island; Oahu or Lanai I could hook you up. You could take an island hopper ($120-$150) over here to Oahu and I can take you out.

h20fowlr, Depending on the species/island you are on. For these goats you would be able to shoot them year round if they are ON private land. If you are around the city limits though I would probably use a bow for obvious reasons.

If I ever make it to Hawaii....this gives me something fun to do other than lay on the beach. Nice Pictures.

Ranger91298,
Hell of an offer

I just don't know if I want to screw with the meat, where to process, hassle of getting it back home etc.  Not real excited about goats but axis deer might be fun.  It will be my first time there and.....hell, I don't know....

Thanks again!

Heck, I'd be up for a hunt there and would donate the meat to the locals.  I'm sure someone there could use it.  Just doing a hunting/beach vacation would work well for the wife and I!  Is it hard to find public land on the Islands which contain goats/pigs?

I am leaving for Maui on the 28th.  May have to look into this as well.  Might look at shooting a pig.
