went to buy some kenetrek boots at wholesale sports in federal way today, couldn't pull the trigger on 389 dollar boots. And the four other boots I wanted they didn't have my size. Went to sport co and decided to go cheap, bought one pair of rocky's and one pair of Irish setters. I got those 2 pair of boots and a bunch of bottom fishing gear for the same price of one pair of Kenetrek's.

Both the Kenetrek and the Lathrop & sons hanwag's are worth every penny.  I put on a lot of miles every year from sagebrush to rainforest to solid rock walls chasin goats, and both boots are fantastic.  I won't ever waste money on cheap boots again, but with both pairs of boots in the closed, shoud'nt have to

If they fit, and work well for your style of hunting then good for you.  I'll never advocate spending money just to spend it, I'm as cheap as anybody.  I guarantee you'll never find me out hunting in Rocky's or Irish Setters, but that's based on fit/feel and how I hunt.

Camofire had a good deal on Kennetreks, don't know if it's still up or not.

My last two sets of boots were Irish Setters. For about $300 I got 5 years of wear.  I figure a pair of Kenetreks will last me a little longer for only about $90 more.  Everyone I know that owns a pair swears by them, so I am going to sack up and go for it this year...

Bought a pair of Hardscrabble's today (my first spendy boots) at the Burlington Wholesale sports.  Fit seems really good.  I am not used to the solid support.  Time will tell!  :dunno:

Bought my kenetreks and love them. I had a major injury to my foot during a car accident that i was in while in the military. I am VERY picky about my boots and can only wear certain boots. The Kenetrek Mountain Extremes that i bout are fantastic and i would recommend them to anybody. They have tons of support and that is great for guys like me with messed up feet.
