Dan is one of those bears the one that was thinking about kicking you butt last year? :chuckle: If I remember right you had to shoot at one to scare it off.

Yep, pic #3 was the one with a mean streak.

That's what I was thinking it jogged the brain when I saw that picture. My dad was bear hunting in Canada and he had a nice mid sized, pretty as can be sow that would wait for him to get out of the tree and try and grab him. He shot to scare her off 2 times. The first morning and the first night. He asked the guide and he said she had her cubs get ate by a boar and she was on a war path. My dad did not want to shoot her but on the 2nd morning he just got into the tree and she decided she was going to climb up and get him. Not a wise choice for her! He stuck the barrel down the tree and she got to about 1' away and he ripped her right off the tree :bash: Some are just plain dangerous! My dad was in great shape and was fast. What could of happened with someone else not so quick walking into the stand. He had 2 tags anyways and shot a toad on the 3rd day.

Looks like Skagit Bears
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Finally got around to making 50# of bear breakfast sausage and italian sausage today from my fall bear. I can't imagine that a spring bear could taste better than this one, but I sure would like to find out. Page 18 here we come!!!!

There is at least one good sized bear that traipses around my deer hunting area. Been seeing tracks and sign for three years now, would like to get a look at it one of these days. Just to bad it isn't a spring draw unit.
God Bless,
Scott
