I just called WDFW and they said the drawing will be on May 15. Good luck everyone!  :yike:

A bunch of pages ago we were talking about ling cod fishing and a Neah Bay trip. I am booked on the Slammer in Westport Sunday May 27 with my girlfriend and a couple of other friends. Last I checked there were still 15 open spots. You are all welcome to join us weather you draw a tag or not. If you draw, you can brag about your success. If not you can piss and moan about how unfair the draw system is. Either way I'll share my bear sausage with you. Let's fill up the boat with Hunt wa members. We can plan a Neah Bay trip while we're out there.

Since they don't want to draw the spring bear permits I might as well try to side track this thread...What are they charging for fishing trip?
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Way to jump on board trophyhunt. $120 for 2 lings and 10 sea bass. It's a good time and yes, it provides a distraction from the drawing! :chuckle:

If anyone has an extra set of gear, I might just go fishing. Since I moved back up here from California I have focused more on hunting than fishing so I don't really know what all I would need to be successful around here.

The only place open prior to May 15th is the C-Post Sanctuary.

600 is only a drop in the bucket, could I grease the hands of some sort of state official to make sure I get drawn and also receive the governors tag as well?

No, no, no!!
It's C-Post for gosh sake.
The WDFW gives you $600 if you would be so fortunate to draw on of the precious unlimited quota special permits they offer.
