The best bobcat is the one on your stretcher. Don't listen to anyone else. I guy can burn alot of fuel chaseing "pretty" cats while driving by alot of great marketable fur.

Reason I'm asking is my dad wants to set a wall tent up next year and chase them for a couple months I use to see a lot up around Curlew but I also use to see a ton around the 1500 rd. elk hunting over in the Bumping, Bethal and Rimrock area. Thinking of getting him set up with around 25 - 40 cages

Once they have that CITES tag on them they can be shipped anywhere.

Anyone ever trap cats around the Nile, Little Naches and Bumping? Thats the area we are thinking of running. Top of White down and then up the Little Naches rd??? Would they grade out Eastern cats?

Set up a nice hunting/trapping camp for the season. My dad's going to be a Subaru trapper once the line is set to save on fuel

We've caught a lot of cats up Lil natch, nile, bumping, etc... and they will not compete with something further east for color... in general. There are exceptions of course.

Describing what you want to do, I'd either go Blues for high dollar cats or north central. like Sherman and that country... really from Omak across to Curlew....

The blues have nice cats but they are spread out pretty good. Really isn't a high numbers area in my opinion.

I lived in Curlew for 5 years and I did see a few cats around there but the ground that is kept open in the winter time is mostly private along the rds. There are a few spots that are good in that area. One of the other spots we are thinking about is from Colville over Tiger then down to Newport and then from Colville over Sherman to Republic. There are at least a few spots to make some good sets with good access.
