Fresh Elk Sheds! Pics Added!
« on: March 10, 2012, 08:29:52 PM »
I've been watchin a bull for about 10 days now..going up everyother night after work checkin on him.  I found his fresh set last year and his set from the year before.  This afternoon i went up and checked his position and he had went from one draw to another, no biggie.  He came out early today 3:45, as he fed out of the timber he moved toward a fence that happened to be in his way...So i'm thinkin maybe he"ll jump the fence and his horns will fall off.  Sure enough thru my spotting scope from across the canyon he leaped across, and chaaa ching his right popped off.  Then he took off down hill acting like a buckin bull at a rodeo..then the left hit the dirt....I'm about to have a heart attack after witnessing that!  Surely something that i will never forget!

The fresh set i'm holding...Then the 3 sets all together from the same bull.

Sweet man, can't wait to see.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Awesome experience, wish I was there alongside to witness that, and you can have the sheds.
