The squaw and I are taking two guys to Wyoming on an archery antelope hunt.

Then four guys to BC for an archery elk hunt.

I will be making my last trip to BC to try and get that dang B&C goat I've been chasing for three years. Hopefully forth time is a charm.

Had a few others in the works, but we had a surprise when the wife had emergency surgery on her eyes a few weeks ago.  We gambled on insurance for 18 months to stash a little cash away for a New Zealand 20th Anniversary hunting get away.  Made it 14 months and lost the gamble to the cost of $20,000.00  :bash:

Oh well, 2012 should be plenty of fun anyhow.

He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Mostly buying points for myself again this year rather than apply for trophy hunts. I have 12 elk points in Utah now, so I am getting close to a good tag. Going to hold out for one of the best units.

Will probably get 1 or 2 cow elk tags in Utah and 1 or 2 doe tags in Montana for good meat hunts. I like to put a lot of wild meat in the freezer.

Hopefully a few hunters pull good tags. I get just as much delight out of watching my hunters shoot big bucks/bulls.

I can cheat on this one since all of my hunts this year will be out of state.

Check Republic: Roe Deer, Wild Boar and if I am real lucky a Sika Buck.
Germany (home): Roe Deer, Wild Boar, Pheasant, Goose, and hopefully a Red Deer.

Also several meat only type hunts.  Doe/Cow and Fawn/Calf

Montana deer and elk if drawn, and possibly a Idaho bear hunt if I do not draw a spring tag here.
WDWF needs to get a clue before it's to late!!!

That's cool.  I'm looking at hunting a little west of there this year (Trinity National Forest).  I'm going to try to hit some of the backcountry for deer/bear.

CA is another state that gives disabled Vets a discount.  I can buy my non-resident hunting lic there for $6.  The tags are all still at non-resident prices but the discount on the hunting lic is really nice.

Hopefully WY.  I have an interview for a job there later this month.
When seconds count, the police are only minutes away...
