bowtech invasion or destroyer 350
« on: March 14, 2012, 08:44:27 AM »
I need to hear which bow everybody likes better. the bowtech destroyer 350 or the invasion, I like them both and need a new bow but can decide. I have shot them both and don't know what to do, I liked the insanity but it is heavier than the invasion but felt the same. So need advice which on you like best????

They are both excellent.  I'd recommend the invasion though.  The invasion and insane are the newer designs, and the destroyer 340 was discontinued this year.  I have a destroyer, but the writing is on the wall.  CPX is the way things are going.  Indian shoots a bit smoother than a destroyer as well.

Invasion is a better bow of the two. It's still a Bowtech :chuckle:

I bought the Invsasion but got a really good price on it.  I liked it better than the Destroyer, seemed a little quieter.

Hey, my PSE did that to me back in the 80's, though the explode came just as I released, luckily.

I have shot both. I shoot just about every new bow that comes out each year. I own between 10-20 bows at any given time. This Year bear archery hooked me up with a anarchy to shoot

I was very disappointed with the Insanity.  I will usually have them send me any of the new releases just to play and compare.  But, this year after shooting it at the show I made no effort to get one.  Although I've never liked a short brace height bow so that's probably not saying too much.

Between the Destroyer 350 and the Invasion I personally think it is a no brainer - I very much like the Invasion.  I did put a Loesch grip on it.  Something I did not feel the urge to do with the Destroyer.  But the Invasion shoots like a race car and drives like a Cadillac.  I think it's the best they've ever produced.

"Crazy Larry" my hunting partner liked my Invasion so much he stole it and hasn't given it back.  Out of all the bows I've had over the past 20+ years that's the first time he's ever done that!  I think that's a pretty good sign it's a keeper.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
