3 vanes vs. 4 vanes

i shoot 4 vane with slick trick broadheads and they fly great, my practice arrows are 3 vane and shoot great with field points but the broadheads 2'' to 3'' off at 20yds. should i change broadheads to shoot 3 vanes or just shoot the 4's? my vanes are blazer.

I would stay with 4. More control over your fixed blade heads.

Your bow is out of tune if you notice a difference between 3 and 4 fletch.

Not always the case, it could be the arrows as well. Some broadheads also plane and with more surface like 3 compared to 4. You can help control the flight better. I would say there is more of a chance that it is the arrow then the bow.

Ever try tuning your broadhead or are they just screwed on.

There's also a good chance that the bow is being torqued slightly.

Knockpoint sells 4 fletch, and I think some of the online shops will special order. I shoot a whisker biscuit and would like to try 4 with offset instead of straight.
Have read that improves grouping, but don't want to spend 30 on a fetching tool and not like the results.

I shoot 3 blazer vanes on an FMJ 400 shaft with a Montec broadhead. Never had an issue with flight ever. I do fletch all my own arrows and tune my own bows and make sure everything is perfect, but I've never had any planing issue in the past with a fixed blade head. I used to shoot 4 blazers and then went to 3 to cut a little weight. It's honestly a personal preference on whether you want 3 or 4 vanes on your arrows.
