This is a picture of my 9 year old Son with his first Washington blacktail deer. He harvested this doe last archery season 2011. What a proud moment and a season of memories we will treasure for a lifetime.

Clara's first buck! Missouri not Washington, but one heck of a first buck - gun or bow. Her first deer ever
(a doe)
was taken the day before on Thanksgiving. Also with her bow. I am posting this for her and her father. They are close personal friends.

This is my youngest's first buck, a little 3 pt. muley. Not your typical pic, but I love it! He was soooo excited!

That's great Horsepower! 50+ deer and I still feel the same way with nice clean meat hanging.

Love that photo RadSav.
Not only is it just a great picture of a happy young hunter.....she has
Safety Gear
on as well.
Funny thing is I didn't notice it at first. It wasn't until I thought....Missouri...I wonder if she was in a tree stand.

Wasn't hunting most enjoyable when does and unicorns were trophies, when Grandpa would tell us big ol' lies and we believed every word, when the terms SCI, Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young meant absolutely nothing to us, when we fell asleep on a deer stand because the excitement of opening day kept us from getting a wink of sleep for two days prior, when we would stop in at the truck stop for French Toast and Butterhorns on opening day and it felt like a family reunion, and when a simple grouse along side a dirt road would give us buck fever so bad we could not get a .410 shell into the single shot chamber?
It is pictures like these that really make me know the life path I chose was the right one. That hunting is an honerable way to bring families together and learn important life lessons. And, that I miss my Grandfather very much. Great pictures everyone. I enjoyed them all.
