I've stopped buying guns for the most part (only got 4 new ones in the last month  :chuckle: :bash:). I like to be able to keep a few hundred rounds of ammo on hand for each caliber I have and thats the part that gets spendy when you have some many.
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Big H... I bet you are right on the driver issues. Some of you shoot a lot more than me, but I've got buddies that can way outshoot my ass with the same gun.... and other buddies that I can way outshoot with the same gun... Having a tack driving rifle does not make you a tack driver!!!! :chuckle:
Good to know on that action... I had it all wrong... I've passed up great deals on used ADL's because I thought they were cheap POSs when I am a big 700 Fan! Doh!! :bash:

Hey Carp, they still got a couple left, I only bought 1 in .243.  And man this is a  lot nicer rifle than the Savage Axis thats for sure.  I might buy a stevens 22-250 next though, only 299.00

No its time to plan the build  :)

Oh yes that axis is the bottom of the barrel. You could not pay me enough to own one of those things :chuckle:

Dang hammer I finally found someone who goes threw as many guns as me  I already bought 2 this month. I am going to order 2 more and working on getting another won on gun broker.

I'm kinda glad I never got addicted to buying so many guns that I can't ever shoot them all. Heck I bought a Browning A bolt back in 1997 for $527 out the door, and that's the only rifle I've hunted with for the last 14 years. I just don't see the need for another. I do have a Weatherby Vanguard in 30-06 that I got cheap and I keep it around for a back up rifle in case my scope goes bad on me or something. But why have 20 rifles when one will do it all?

Because I have never lost a nickle buying a gun. Can't say the same for any of the stock in my retirement plan.

So, question, my new rifle came with a tag attached to the trigger that says, "Now Featuring the New X-Mark Pro Trigger"  does this mean that it is suppose to have this trigger group?  Because it sure doesn't have it.

I would consider a shoot out for " Pink slips " but you would have to pay me to take that savage when I won it.  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I must have gotten a good one then.  I'm happy for the most part with it.  couple of things I don't care for but, in that price range, I didn't feel like I could be picky over the ticky tack stuff.

Damnit, now I'm gonna have to save a couple hundred dollars.  Probably only get $200-$250 for the savage.
If your Savage is a short action .308 and you decide you want to sell let me know. PM sent
