especialy in 308 ars each manufacturer have deiiferences. thread pitch, take down pin sizes, buffer tubes and spring. Check out ar15.com all you could need to know is there. have fun
Im pretty sure you can NOT use an AR15 lower with a .308, thats an AR10 size..someone correct me if Im wrong.Good price on that lower setup though!
what are you trying to do? THere are a ton of options for the AR15 size frame.
with the adaptability of the AR platform, i don't know why you'd even bother looking at an AK. ARs are tinker toys for grown up boys (and girls)!!! shoot .22LR for practice, swap out the upper for a .223 for varmints, a 6.5 grendel for deer, a .300 Whisper for suppressed sniping, .50 beowolf for big bear... man, AR's can do it all!
And what's the difference between A2 and A3?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
For a fun beater gun an AK is awfully hard to beat. You can definitely get an AK cheaper than the one you linked though, mine is one of my favorite guns to shoot, it's reasonably accurate, unstoppably reliable and it just never fails to make me smile when the handguard starts smoking! The best part is that I don't feel bad about beating on it like that!
AK-74? I know the AK-47's are cheaper. And I know there are Polish Tantal models for sale for about $350 but, I've heard some really bad things about those
